We have 16 local IRSE Sections
These are across the world, enabling members to meet together, hold events, give technical presentations and share their knowledge.
We have a Younger Members' Section that organises technical meetings, conferences and technical visits aimed specifically at those in the early stages of their training and development
Membership of the Younger Members section is automatic for all members of the Institution up to the age of 35 and is also open to all those in their first 10 years of their railway career.
Our Minor Railways Section aims to provide an encouraging forum to support, assist, and provide guidance and to learn from those involved in the minor railway and heritage S&T community
It organises regular technical meetings, workshops and visits and holds a detailed library of guidelines aimed at minor railways.
