Minor Railways

The Sections 2024 AGM took place on 13^th July at the Kidderminster Railway Museum. 14 members attended.

The 2024 programme started with a joint visit with the Midland & North Western Section to the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway on 10 & 11^th May. 28 members attended.

A visit to the private museum on Sunday 9^th June, 34 members & guests attended.

Following the AGM on the 13^th July there was a visit to the Severn Valley Bewdley Signal Boxes. 13 members attended.

• There will be a visit to the restored signal box at Epping station followed by a visit to the Epping & Ongar Railway which will take place on 7^th September. link to flier here

• There will be a joint visit with the York & Netherlands Sections to York and the Scunthorpe Steelworks Railway. This will take place over three days on the 18^th to 20^th October. For full details and booking details click here

The 2023bi-annual technical seminar took place on 4 November 2023 at the Kidderminster Railway Museum on the theme 'modern technology in heritage railway applications'
