The details for the 2023 IET / IRSE course in railway signalling and control systems have been announced!

The IET/IRSE railway signalling and control systems (RSCS) professional development course is a 4 day tutorial presented by expert lecturers who have worked on railway systems around the world.

The programme of this well-established course is updated year after year to provide you with the most up-to-date contemporary training on signalling and control systems. Even though this course has been running a long time, the content can still be applied to new rail projects (for example Crossrail, HS2 etc). The programme features more than 25 individual sessions, covering a range of core signalling topics. The course also features a technical visit (London UK) as well as ample time to discuss content with the speakers, ask questions and network with fellow members of the railway community.

The course will be held online from 18th to 19th April and 25th to 28th April 2023. There will be one technical site visit in London UK during the course.

Key themes for the course are -

  • Signalling and control systems in context
  • Fundamentals of signal and control systems
  • System implementation
  • Signal system design
  • Technical visit to a London UK-based control centre
